🌸 A Touch of Magic Beyond the Ball! 🌸
What an enchanting evening it was at the Krewe of Dominique Youx’s Ball, where we celebrated the remarkable works of Buddy Wilkes, this year’s Baratarian Cup recipient. But the magic didn’t end there! Under the leadership of our beloved Past Queen Brenda Elizabeth Carlile Harned (2023-24), our dedicated KODY ladies gathered to repurpose the stunning floral arrangements from the Ball into 90 beautiful bouquets.
These floral gifts were delivered to several local Assisted Living Facilities, bringing joy and color to the lives of over 484 seniors. It was truly heartwarming to see the smiles our efforts brought to their faces!
We were also honored to share a bit of the evening’s splendor with some of our past Queens who couldn’t join us. We cherished our visits with Queen Nancy Moore, Salie Cotton, Geraldine Bixenman, Jerrilyn Griffitts, and MaryNell Stone.
