Krewe of Dominique Youx Brings the Rum Runner to Krewe De Yak Mardi Gras Festival
The Krewe of Dominique Youx (KODY) was proud to take part in the 12th annual Krewe De Yak Mardi Gras Festival and Parade in Walton County! On Saturday, the streets of the historic district in DeFuniak Springs came alive with the vibrant sights and sounds of Mardi Gras—music, delicious food, and non-stop festivities.
KODY made a grand entrance with our Rum Runner Parade Float, bringing the spirit of Bay County’s pirate-themed revelry to the heart of Walton County. Many of our krewe members joined the celebration, tossing beads and sharing the Mardi Gras magic with the enthusiastic crowd.
Our participation was even featured on WJHG News! Check out the full story here: WJHG News – DeFuniak Springs Celebrates Mardi Gras
A huge thank you to Krewe De Yak for hosting such an incredible event. We love spreading the joy of Mardi Gras beyond our home in Panama City Beach, and we can’t wait for more opportunities to celebrate with our extended krewe family!
