PANAMA CITY BEACH — Mardi Gras revelry returns to Pier Park this weekend with plenty of beads and buccaneers, glitz and glamour from the Krewe of Dominique Youx.
Crowds of 50,000 are expected at the two-day, carnival-style celebration — always held the weekend before Fat Tuesday — with family entertainment, a kids zone, festival village, live music, parades and nightly fireworks.
While the TDC and the Panama City Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau handle the Panama City Beach Mardi Gras and Music Festival, the Krewe of Dominique Youx is all about the parades — from the Kids and Second Line parades Friday to the Mardi Gras at the Beach main parade Saturday.
The Krewe of Dominique Youx — continuing with its mission to have fun — will celebrate the 2020 royals, King XXXIV David Landreth and Queen Jerrilyn Griffitts.
